KIK 2018: Kizomba in Kolkata: Official Event

Hello everyone :) Kizomba in Kolkata took the City of Joy by storm last January and since then there has been no looking back! Be it the dance floor or classes, Calcutta has truly embraced this beautiful dance form. And now, get ready for yet another smashing weekend of Kizomba to kick off 2018, with Davide Venturi and Laura Maino, all the way from Milan, Italy. Yes, this amazing duo, who have travelled extensively throughout the world, will be back in town to get the Kizomba groove going again. For those of you new to this form, Kizomba (not Zumba) is a popular genre of dance and music, originating from Angola. A couple's dance with a romantic flow, it is all about connection and some really beautiful music. ' Key Features of KIK: 1. So we aim to take it from where we left off last year and focus on solid learning of Kizomba AND to introduce Semba this year. 2. We aim to make it an event where we play only Kizomba the seamless way during parties. We wish to give you the correct appetite for dancing Kizomba rather than how it is done currently, treated merely as a break from Salsa. You can expect 3 parties of 5 hours each so approx. 15+ hours of non-stop Kizomba dancing! 3. We plan to invite a guest DJ to bring you the best of Kizomba music. 4. A show night on Sunday for the artistes to demo their work. Or they perform with the students a choreography they learnt in the workshop to increase the participation of each full pass holder. 5. We aim to hold the event at a minimum 4-star property to have everything under one roof. For the best way to have a productive weekend 6. We will welcome people to take privates with the respective artistes to polish their skills and benefit from the weekend. 7. Davide & Laura together will teach for 8 hours over the weekend. This is probably the more than ANY artiste has taught on their visit to India. 8. Davide & Laura both are coming, so both boys and girls get to learn from the best, first hand. 9.
