Kiz with Kat: Following Fellas

Whenever leads ask me what they can do to improve their leading overall, my first answer is usually "Learn to follow!" Learning to follow can help you develop better sensitivity and reactivity in your dancing as well as give you a variety of perspectives on what it takes to be a great lead as you get to experience leads other than your own. It can also help you feel more aware of your body and how you can control it as you dance. Basically you'll develop superpowers that will turn you into the best dancer possible. Who wouldn't want that?! In this workshop, we'll dedicate time to helping you experience connection and reactivity as a follow that will help you whether you are leading or following. We'll learn some basic techniques as a follow that will help you understand how to lead with even more finesse. We'll also work on letting go of control to make you a more observant and flexible dancer. I'm super excited to share everything with you! ___________________________________________________________________ DETAILS: WHO: This workshop is appropriate for leads who are already comfortable with their basic steps as a lead (1,2,3 and saidas). If you aren't sure if that's you, just ask! PRICE: $30 at the door. Cash, Venmo, and PayPal accepted. TIME/PLACE: 1:00pm-4:00pm The workshop will be broken into different skills with breaks in between each section. The workshop will be held at Nosso Cubico in Indianapolis. ARRANGEMENTS: If you are coming from out of town, we can make arrangements for you to stay. Don't forget that Kizomba Underground is the night before in Bloomington, so come for the weekend!
