Kizalsa™ Celebrates World Kizomba Day!

For someone who totally loves Kizomba dance and music, I'm ashamed to confess that I only discovered there was a World Kizomba Day celebration tomorrow 🙈IKR! But dance has been for me a source of juvenescence for me that I have been extremely grateful for through some incredibly testing times in my life. I believe that's where my incessant desire to share it with the whole world, as best as I can, comes from. By courtesy of dance, I have met some lifelong friends who have become family so even though the dance community has all kinds of interesting characters 😌 I am still grateful for the opportunity to connect with other humans in ways that few other activities allow. Especially in this world of increasing individual isolation. For this reason, I refuse to allow World Kizomba Day to pass without honoring the beautiful dance and amazing music as well as all the beautiful across the world who are connected by this common passion. Plus maybe someone will attend for the first time and begin their own journey of wonderful discovery the way I did. Finally, there's no better time to pay tribute to the people who add value to your life past and present so thank you to my long-time babe and salsa dance mate Nana Kwartema of Kizomba Ghana fame for literally dragging me into Kizomba cos you knew I'd fall in love with it... Kudos to her dance partner and Kizomba Ghana Boss "the EBO!" ✌🏾😎 for training her well! Finally, if you've allowed whatever side experience you've had with the dance community or just plain laziness take you away from this beautiful lifestyle experience... 😦 I have no words.
