ABOUT GUEST INSTRUCTOR: One of the fastest rising stars in the Ukraine, Afolabi (Fola) Shogbesan, born in Nigeria, has been living and teaching social dances in the Ukraine for 6 years, though different styles from Afrobeat/dancehall to reggaeton have been a part of his life for over 20 years. As a native African, dancing has always been a simple yet essentian way for him to express himself. This is the reason for his strong belief that anyone can dance. Currently, Kizomba, Bachata, Salsa & Afrobeat are his greatest passions, that bring him to numerous dance festivals all over the globe 🌍 Fola is in high demand and is constantly sharing his knowledge - his performances and workshops at dance festivals all over are becoming a great tradition. In addition to teaching activities in his studio (FDS), Fola has a great experience competing and he is named by world-class judges as a talented dancer and instructor. Among his competitive dance achievements are over ten medals and several prize-winning places in competitions of different dance styles from Salsa to Bachata, Reggaeton and Kizomba. One of his latest ventures is a second place at the International Championship Cup ‘Cuba Si’ (November 2018) in the "Masters" category. His credo is constant becoming a better version of himself!
