SUNDAYS Casual classes | Start Sunday 7 June | Ongoing 1PM KIZOMBA LEVEL 1 (Foundations) 2PM KIZOMBA LEVEL 2 (Improvers) 3PM-3:30PM Practise & question time COST $17 or $14 concession per class Practise session free for students LATINO GROOVES DANCE STUDIO 308A Pulteney St, Adelaide ABOUT KIZOMBA Kizomba is an Afro-Portuguese dance form which originated in Angola in the late 80s from Semba and other Angolan folk dances, but adapted to the slower-tempo Zouk music. From there it spread to Portugal, where it expanded to include influences from Tango, Salsa, Coladeira and other Afro-Latin dance forms. As a result of this spread, there are two broad, mutually interchangeable styles of Kizomba - the Luso-Africano/Lisbon style, and the Kizo-Semba/Angolan style. KIZOMBA LEVEL 1 Level 1 will introduce you to the exciting world of Kizomba/Semba and will have you ready to hit the dance floor (with an emphasis on foundational concepts such as the basic steps, Leading and following). KIZOMBA LEVEL 2 Level 2 will build on the previous level and take it up several notches! Learn combinations, new steps and new concepts!
