Join us for a welcoming and relaxed afternoon with Dj David alongside Dj Ian who is sure to keep our feet 💃🕺 happy. David was a salsa DJ when he stumbled across a Kizomba video online in 2008. Along with Justine Thornton he trained under the guidance of Eddy Vents and To Costa with the intention of teaching the more traditional style of kizomba of semba they both loved. Together they co-founded “Cloud 8 Kizomba” and were instrumental in the growth of Kizomba into the Midlands, running their own classes and party nights, working alongside Urban Latino to bring quality teachers to Birmingham and becoming the first Kizomba teachers at Smooth Salsa where David held a Kizomba Dj residency for nearly 10 years. He has also held resident DJ positions for KizExpression and Viagem, Malembe Nights and Kizomba Sundays. Ian is well known and our residents dj which is loved at the Kizomba Co-Op and he is ready to spin his tunes for us to dance till we drop 😉 with fabulous music. #Timetable: 1.30 - Doors open 2.00 – 6.00 - Social dancing #Entry: £6.00 #Music will be provided by David Wellington & Ian. #The club has a superb wooden floor, fully air-conditioned room and free parking at the rear. #Club details: The club have a hot drinks machine located in the corridor between the bars. Please note that the club will not allow anyone to bring their own drinks in. It is important that we support the bar in order to keep this wonderful venue; we would appreciate your support in this.
