Join us for a welcoming and relaxing afternoon. We start with Nino & Anna teaching and then DJ David alongside Ian will be sure to keep our feet 💃🕺 happy. We are very happy 😃 to have Nino and Anna back to teach for us, we hope you feel the same. Are you ready for DJ David to spin us around the floor with his fabulous music 🎶 Nino born in Belgium, spent his childhoood in Drc Congo and moved back to Belgium at 12yrs old. He has been dancing kizomba and semba for years at weddings and african parties. He continued to develop himself in his dancing and as a teacher from the likes of Eddy Vents, Vasco, Fabricio and Puto Chinez. He has a distinct, effortless smooth style to his dance. He started teaching in 2013. He is keen to pass on his technical knowledge of the dance with tips and advice on musicality not just moves and tricks. He is also very caring and patient with his students always trying to help them develop and progress. He has taught both nationally and internationally. He has entered a number of competitions. In 2013 he won the UK Kizomba championship and then went on to represent the UK in the Open Spain Competition in Madrid. He also represented England at Africadancar 2014 and in 2015 he came 3rd and then got through to the last stage in Lisbon finishing in the top 10 in the final among 47 competitors. In 2014 Nino and his team started Kiz'xpression with the aim to spread his knowledge of kizomba and semba. Currently based in Birmingham, he also teaches all over the UK as well as abroad. To help grow the kizomba scene in UK, Nino has also organised authentic kizomba parties like KARIBU with kizcov and continues to do so with his own party VIAGEM in Birmingham. Her dance journey started in the UK when she discovered the world of salsa and bachata in 2014. Soon after she fell in love with Kizomba - which became her ultimate passion. She started teaching in Birmingham with Sol David, living and loving each step of the way. In 2017 they became UK Kizomba Champions before going on to compete in the International Kizomba Finals in Portugal. For Anna, dancing is a never ending process and a journey to self discovery. She's done her teacher trainings with Eddy Vents and Vanessa Ginga Pura and believes we should never stop learning and exploring our potential. Based in Birmingham, she is teaching and sharing the beauty of Kizomba and Semba connection, feeling and technique. Body movement, musicality and flow rest in the centre of Anna's approach to teaching and dancing. In her classes she brings a level of care and attention to detail that is informing every step of the dance whilst having fun and spreading the culture which is key to every dancer’s development. In her current collaboration with Nino Amuli, they both thrive to help their students connect with their body through the music. They focus on the harmony between all the elements of the body to allow a natural self-expression and flow that are driven by the music. They hold their weekly classes every Tuesday in Birmingham. Please note that the club will NOT allow anyone to bring their own drinks in. It is important that we support the bar in order to keep this wonderful venue, we would appreciate your support in this.
