Anna So is back for you with her unique class, class start at 2.15-3.15pm. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 Eduardo Nascimento (DJ Dico) was born on the wonderful islands of São Tomé and Príncipe. His love for music began in the early 90s and he could not be without the rhythms of São Tomé and Príncipe bands such as “África Negra”, “Os Úntues”, “Os Sangazuzas” and groups from other PALOP countries like “Livity”, “Rebolados”, “Splash”, “Tabanka Djaz and “Os Tubarões”. But his greatest childhood idol was singer Gil Semedo! His greatest influence and mentor in São Tomé was Dj Femy and he also found inspiration from international DJ’s such as Dj Amorim and Dj Malvado, the latter serves as his inspiration to this day. In 2006 he made the decision to relocate to Leeds, England, dedicating himself more to Djing and further investing in his Dj career. It was at this time that he started playing at discos and at parties organised by Palop event promoters. In 2015, Brendan Nekube (Kizomba Leeds) invited him to play at Casa Colombiana. Along with DJ Pux, together, they became resident DJs and eventually the organisers of Kizomba Leeds. Throughout his career, Dj Dico has played at countless events and some consider him to be one of the best DJ's of Kizomba in the UK. He played in Manchester with his great idol Dj Malvado, Mika Mendes concert in Leeds, Djodje concert in Manchester, Oslo Kizomba Festival in Rei Helder concert, Dj Barrata in Manchester, Johnny Ramos concert in Leeds, "Ginga Boo Kizz Festival" in London, "Eagle Dance Fest" in Leeds, "Bachakiz" in Nottingham, "Motion City" in Birmingham, "ABCD" in London, "Latin Force" Newcastle, "Malembe Malembe" in Birmingham, "Karibu" in Birmingham and many more. Today Dico continues to be an ever popular name and organiser on the Kizomba dance scene. As Bom Balanço Events, he has put together live showcases with artists such as Djodje; and in collaboration with Kizomba Leeds and MKEvents has hosted Ivan Alekxei, Roger and Edgar Domingos. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 Dj Yana is one of the youngest Kizomba DJs in the UK, DJ Yana has embarked on an impressive mixing journey, exploring all genres within the Kizomba umbrella, from Kizomba and Semba to Urban and more, while also fostering a passion for Zouk and Konpa. In the year since she started, Yana has played at two festivals, BKiZ III and Manchester SBK-UK Congress, and continues to receive invitations to play in various cities across the UK, including more regular features in Newcastle, where she is based. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 We also have Dj Faya back in the house alongside Dj Afterparty. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 Anna So originally from Poland, she has always been fascinated by music and dance. She discovered the world of Kizomba in 2014 in UK and that became her main passion since. In 2017 she came first in a UK Kizomba Competition before going on to compete in the International Kizomba Finals in Portugal. For Anna, dancing is a never ending process and a journey to self discovery. She's done her teacher trainings with Eddy Vents and Vanessa Ginga Pura and most recently with some of the best Angolan dancers and believes we should never stop learning and exploring our potential. Based in Birmingham, she is teaching and sharing the beauty of Kizomba and Semba connection, feeling and technique. Body movement, musicality and flow rest in the centre of Anna's approach to teaching and dancing. In her classes she brings a level of care and attention to detail that is informing every step of the dance whilst having fun and spreading the culture which is key to every dancer’s development. In her current collaboration with Nino Amuli, they both thrive to help their students connect with their body through the music. They focus on the harmony between all the elements of the body to allow a natural self-expression and flow that are driven by the music.
