Email [email protected] for details. ABOUT Lucia Nogueira is a professional Kizomba and Semba instructor, performer, and competitor. She was born and raised in Azores, Portugal, where she discovered her love for music and dance through her family's traditions. She moved to Lisbon to study and immerse herself in the Kizomba and Semba scene. She competed in an International Kizomba Competition in 2012 after winning the Lisbon qualifiers. She later partnered with Bonifácio Aurio, the 2012 Africadançar champion, and performed at various events. In 2013, Lucia relocated to the UK and began teaching solo, as well as with Eddy Vents, a popular Kizomba instructor and organizer. She is currently based in the US, where she received an artist visa and continues to spread her passion for Kizomba and Semba. Lucia is one of the few female instructors who teaches internationally on her own and is versatile on both leading and following. She has collaborated with some of the best artists in the Kizomba world and has taught Kizomba in different continents. She is also passionate about empowering women in dance and teaching the authentic roots and style of these dances. With a strong background in body mechanics, she helps her students not only learn the steps, but also feel the music and the connection with their partners.
