Kizomba Hartford Debut ANNIV 10.26.18

Our annual celebration is humble but true. It was our amateur debut. "we want people to look at Kizomba as a centerpiece for learning more about our world..." let us toast and dance to celebrate: A few years since we first stepped out publicly to dance; sharing; learning...more years!!! Performances and Social, with a toast. Kizomba Hartford Dance Troupe first performed on October 26, 2014 at THE CLOUD in HARTFORD CT. They were invited by James Woobear Lewis and Joy Monroe to share their Kizomba; they had been working on learning Kizomba for the preceding year. In 2014, these dancers had no formal training , rather,at that time, they were self-taught, having relied on the correspondence, mentorship and video instruction from the Master Jose N Dongala from Kizombalove Academy (whom we first connected with in Deccember, 2013). We are still on a journey. We had to start somewhere...the rest is History.
