Tracy Pilling has been her dance partner for 2 years. Karen is a certified Kizomba/Semba Instructor having trained with Master Petchu in Lisbon. Karen & Tracy Kiz1❤️ run regular classes & parties in Chester and regularly invited to Guest Teach Kizomba and Semba 🎧DJ Dico Eduardo Nascimento, the real name of DJ Dico, was born on the wonderful islands of São Tomé and Príncipe on the 2nd January 1984. His love for music began very early in the 90s and he could not be without the rhythms of São Tomé and Príncipe bands such as “África Negra”, “Os Úntues”, “Os Sangazuzas” and groups from other PALOP countries like “Livity”, “Rebolados”, “Splash”, “Tabanka Djaz and “Os Tubarões”. But his greatest childhood Idol was singer Gil Semedo! In 1998, at the age of 14, he started regularly attending the ‘matinés’ at the "Kizomba" nightclub in São Tomé and Príncipe, he began to observe the Dj's such as Femy, Dedé and Gelo in the magic of the mix. His greatest influence and mentor in São Tomé was Dj Femy, but he found inspiration from international DJ’s such as Dj Amorim and Dj Malvado, the latter serves as his inspiration to this day. He became the DJ of both his neighborhood parties and school parties until in 2001 he travelled to Lisbon and began to have more contacts with different DJ's, nightclubs and cultures. This time presented opportunities to learn how to work with software, which was a totally different and innovative experience since all previous experience was the basis of CD's and K7's. This time also presented opportunities to play in private parties such as christenings, weddings and other festivities, this contributed greatly to his maturation as a DJ. In 2006 he made the decision to go to live in Leeds, England, and decided to dedicate himself more to Djing and began investing more in his Dj career. It was at this time that he started playing in discos and at parties organised by Palop event promoters. Although he has such passion for music, this did not prevent him from returning to Lisbon in 2008 and completing a Civil Engineering Degree, concluding in 2013, at the age of 30. He continued working as a DJ during his time in Lisbon, travelling between Lisbon and Leeds, even taking a short break from studies in 2012. During this time he met some event promoters and Kizomba teachers in England and along with 3 friends created "BlokaBadju Event's" where he was resident Dj, he was also resident Dj at Calle Ocho, Leeds and Kizfresh in Sheffield. He returned to Lisbon in 2013 to finish his studies before finally returning to Leeds in 2015, where Brendan Nekube (Kizomba Leeds) invite him to play at casa Colombiana, and a few mouths after he became resident Dj along with Dj Pux. Since then he has played at many events and some consider him to be one of the best DJ's of kizomba in the UK. He played in Manchester with his great idol Dj Malvado, Mika Mendes concert in Leeds, Djodje concert in Manchester, Oslo Kizomba Festival in Rei Helder concert, Dj Barrata in Manchester, Johnny Ramos concert in Leeds, "Ginga Boo Kizz Festival" in London, "Eagle Dance Fest" in Leeds, "Malembe Malembe" in Birminghan, "Karibu" in Birminghan and much more. He is one of the organizers of "Kizomba Fever" in Manchester. He also played in cities such as Newcastle, Chester, Hull, Darlington and Derby. His dream is to hold large events such as Kizomba Congresses, concert events, amongst others. He also aims to produce "kizomba" music, which is a goal he hopes to achieve in the near future. 🎧DjKdKiz has deejayed regularly at her own events and recently at Congresses.
