KiZouk Connections

Urban Kiz and Zouk Fusion workshop featuring artists from Dallas, Texas Josue and Abelin Cedeno; Charles Ogar from Austin, Texas; globally recognized and sought after, William Wegert from Viriginia; and our own local artist LeAnne Costa and Andrea from Denver, Colorado. The goal of the workshop is to work on understanding musicality in simple and complex structures of kiz and zouk. With the option to focus on one dance or both dances, practica, a social dance, and an intimate artist party this workshop will have you dancing all weekend! Class: Kiz & Zouk Josue & Abelin will be focusing on concepts for a more playful and musical dance. This class will be beginner friendly but has essentials for intermediate dancers to advance their movements. Class: Urban Kiz Charles & LeAnne will be teaching kiz movements and musicality to enhance your dance translatable to Zouk for more intuitive foundation and structure to drive your dances to the next level. Class: Zouk William & Andrea will be teaching a class on advancing your zouk. With William’s style of leading smooth and creative movements his fancy footwork and intense signature flows will have you melting all night! Andrea is a competitive jack and jill follow ranking in intermediate. She has an unmistakeable vibrance, flare and flourishes to enhance the aesthetics of your zouk dances. Social Djs: Dj Charles Dj Inflow Dj Meridiyün Schedule (Subject to change) ~Friday~ Abelin+Josue: Kiz & Zouk 7pm-9pm Practica/Social 9pm-11pm ~Saturday~ Charles+Leanne: Urban Kiz 12pm-3pm William+Andrea: Zouk 3:30pm-6:30pm Dinner Break Abelin+Josue: Kiz & Zouk 7pm- 9pm Social with Zouk High 9pm- 2am Sunday Charles+Leanne : Urban Kiz 1pm-4pm William+Andrea: Zouk 4:30pm-7:30pm Intimate Artist Social 9pm-2am Things to consider bringing: ~Indoor dance shoes (heels, taygras, ballet slippers, good socks) - No outside shoes as snow/rock salt may trail in ~Water bottle ~Snacks (Workshops/Classes will be anywhere from 2-8 hours and light snacks will be provided but please come prepared to study!) ~Notebook (nice optional item to have just in case you want to take notes) ~Portable battery (If you take video notes/recordings it helps to have a portable battery just in case!) ~Bathing suit and towel (intimate artist social only)
