He’s a lecturer in Heritage at the University of Haiti and researcher in Caribbean studies at KITLV, Leiden. During the class you’ll be introduced to Sony’s concept of KCC (Konpa Culture Connection) that dives deep into the history of Konpa and its relevance to the everyday lives of Haitians. KCC is a way of embracing dance in the context of culture, connection, energy, and the deep vibes of the Konpa music. ⭐Janita & Amar (Konpassion dance school) Janita & Amar are the founders of Konpassion Dance School, which focuses on promoting Haitian Konpa dance in the Netherlands and Europe. Their class will be open level, and include various topics such as fundamentals, partnerwork, gouyad, footwork and turns.
