Kontaktland 2023 - Jam Camp

Dear Dancers! ⛺️ In 2020 we did a camp instead of the festival, inspired by the Italian Contact Camp. Since 2021 we offer you a 5 days jam camp after the festival. 🌻 Our vision is to have a safe place to relax inside togetherness and engage into Contact Improvisation by jamming, labbing, playing and performing. In a relaxed format, we imagine a way to beautifully digest, celebrate and inspire from the festival. A chance to transit and flow into our own rhythm by also including freshly arrived dancers. 🌳 Supported by the fabulous venue we will create together day by day, following and listening to what is present in and between us. Chosen facilitators and teachers will propose several labs, jams and nature connection as a ground that will be shaped by the group. There will be several proposals for Jams, for example 8 hour continuous jam, Underscore, Round Robin into jam, Contemplative Dance Practice into jam, etc. Labbing is a core value of the camp, everyday we give proposals and decide how to combine them, including dance, music, singing, taking in the emerging proposals. We will ask you to participate in simple tasks like lighting candles, preparing the sauna, enchanting the snacks and cleaning the spaces.
