Kontaktland 2025 - Hungarian Contact Improvisation Festival

🌻We warmly welcome you to the 8th edition of the Kontaktland festival. We will celebrate Contact Improvisation once again, and deepen together into our practice for 6 days in the middle of nature, at Három Kincs Völgye, followed by 4 days intensive with Kirstie Simson. This is a fantastic opportunity to gather the hungarian community and to welcome international dancers. The festival is settling year by year and we are thankful for co creating such a safe, intimate and friendly space all together. This is not just a dream, this is reality! 🌳 Our 3 words concept: “community, research and nature”, reveals our call to be together being barefoot all day, having direct connection to earth, cultivating the power of togetherness, using dance as a supportive and enriching focus. Embedding somatic into performative awareness. Inspired by the roots of Contact Improvisation, since 2024 we have been researching the way somatic practices merge into performative awareness. Site specific performances became a tradition of our festival. Welcome to contribute with your presence and cocreate a new wonder again! 👉PROGRAM Intensives Anne Expert (FR), BAstien Auber (FR), Jungwoong Kim (USA-Korea) Workshops Izabella Luca and András Déri (HU), Magdaléna Takáčová (SK), Ram Jalal U Din (IL), Eszter Földvári (HU) Musicians This year the music will be provided by Attila Gyárfás (HU) and Ádám Darázs (HU). Jam practice Every day jams, focused and open, with live music and also silent. Performance Time will be given for inclusive performance. Resting and regenerating Sauna time every evening. A space for resting and body work. Forest and endless landscapes to escape and find your space if needed. Discussions Sharings, talkings around CI, community, care, and safety. And also the topics which will be present during the week. There are 70 places for the festival, which will contribute to a cosy and friendly atmosphere.
