Chispas, without too much suspense, Verónica Vázquez returns to Studio 100 already the next day - to shoot part 2 / the sequel! Immerse yourself in tangoland as for these 2 sets Buenos Aires is transported to a 91sqm floor with mirrors and atmospheric lights right here in Amsterdam. Your chance, our privilege. A guided práctica at La Chispa means you can approach and ask the teachers for help, instruction and advice on anything tango, and they will answer, demonstrate, try with you. It is completely hands on. Take your chances! She will also be teaching and hosting at other milongas including La Yumba (Oct 30) and La Milonguita (Nov 1). 📍Born in Buenos Aires, Verónica started tango at the age of 12, and soon started performing at local tango events. Later she added ballet and jazz dance, biomechanics, folklore, and latin dances. In 2009, she began her professional career and from 2011, began dancing with Alejandro Beron, with whom she performed in iconic Buenos Aires milongas incl. Sunderland, Canning, Villa Malcolm, Club Fulgor etc and started to teach at various prestigious tango schools in Buenos Aires. Vázquez and Beron soon embarked on an international career and taught and performed in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Ireland, Hungary, and UK among others, including at festivals such as the ones in Biezenmortel (Netherlands), Benidorm (Spain), Patras Ionian (Greece), Sofia (Bulgaria) to name a few. In 2013, 2014 and 2015, they were finalists in the Worldwide tango championships (Mundial de Tango) in salon category. Verónica taught and danced with several other professional tango dancers, in 2016 with Damian Mechura with whom she was finalist at the Mundial. They toured in the US and Europe during the following years teaching workshops and performing in Milongas and festivals. From 2018 Veronica worked in Buenos Aires and abroad teaching alone and with different partners sharing her knowledge around Europe. During lockdown Verónica became a Life coach and further developed her teaching skills. She has a profound knowledge of tango, biomechanics, combined with a personal and gentle approach, don’t miss this opportunity. La Chispa Tango Práctica: 📍A práctica, not a milonga. No cortinas. 📍Less advanced dancers practicing with more advanced dancers - like in Buenos Aires in the Golden Age of tango. Because two beginners practicing together usually means doubling mistakes and perpetuating bad habits. This ‘knowledge transfer’ also allows the more accomplished dancers to test and transfer their understanding and skills. Teaching is learning twice. 📍Be careful giving feedback, be considerate. 📍Practice with more than one person as La Chispa is community-focused, though of course this does not mean you need to practice with everyone!
