La Chispa - *special edition* (with Laura and Fransley)

Mark your calendars, Chispas! Next Monday, we’re hosting a very special edition of La Chispa with Laura Murphy & Fransley Marcel bringing their magic to our práctica. We are thrilled these two amazing teachers from Buenos Aires to La Chispa for a pop-up class and guided práctica! Laura & Fransley are exceptional dancers and teachers, combining technical precision, musicality, and spontaneity. As members of El Cxuce (Vanesa Villalba & Facundo Piñero), they bring a unique approach that helps dancers find their own voice in tango. The past couple of months they have been touring through seven different European countries, and they recently decided to make a surprise visit to Amsterdam! The theme of the class will be announced soon (or, as it looks right now, we keep it a surprise,-), but expect insights, discovery, and play—in true La Chispa style. The class will be about 45 minutes, followed by an open practice where you can explore, experiment, and share with fellow dancers and of course, the teachers. They will be ready to help out with any questions. On Thursday next week Laura and Fransley will be performing at La Yumba, special thanks to Lucas! On Saturday the first of March we will be setting up La Chispa's first ever Intensive Seminar - more details will follow! La Chispa is an oldskool Golden Age type of Argentine tango práctica. All levels are welcome, and the spirit is one of sharing and learning together. Advanced dancers are encouraged to help those with less experience, just as it was in the tango salons of Buenos Aires. Come alone or bring a partner—but if you do, remember to dance with others too! We are here to build a community. !COMMUNITY-BASED PRICING! To keep this event accessible to everyone while fairly compensating our guest teachers, we’re doing things a little differently this time: 💰 €5 entrance fee (as usual) 💛 Optional extra contribution for those who feel inclined/are able to! We don’t want to exclude anyone by setting a fixed higher price, but of course we would like to generously compensate our guest teachers for their expenses and the knowledge that they will share.
