La Chispark - Open-Air Milonga Buitensalon aan 't IJ

Dear outdoor dancers, With the success of the 1st edition of La Chispark under our belt (almost 30 people, amazing vibes) and with the promise of fair weather this Saturday (fingers crossed), it is time to play outside at the waterside again! Bring drinks, snacks, anything tasty to share and make it a gezellige tango picnic by the water. Ladies, please come early so we are in balance right from the start! Our floor is thick industry quality truck canvas / tarpaulin. There will be spray and powder to ease your pivots but by all means bring shoes with smooth soles i.e. leather or suede. That said, be aware the floor is not a hardwood like in our studio; it is a compromise so is better not to attempt doing your usual acrobatics! Even the playlist is somewhat adapted (still killer) for a pleasant dance day in the sun instead of a performance on stage. In case of too much sun and/or too much wind we can move the floor to the backside and even to the other side of the Eye. The decision on this will of course be made undemocratically, by lobbying and persuasion; as is common in day-to-day politics. For now we'll be relying on a playlist (brand new, verified by DJ Efe from Frankfurt; verrry good) but who knows... perhaps soon a DJ will show up. See you at the waterside!
