La Fuerza Dance Auditions

Join one of the hottest teams in town. Directed by multiple world champion Fausto Felix. Owner and director of La Fuerza Dance Company & La Fuerza Kingsmen, Founder of The NY Movement & Team NY, and was recently seen on the big screens as one of the principal latin dancers of the movie "In The Heights". If you are a beginner to advanced dancer wanting to refine your skills in Bachata and Salsa, La Fuerza Dance Company is the place to be. La Fuerza will teach you all the details of technique, timing, styling, musicality, footwork, partnering, presentation, team work and more. We are excited to announce that this season teams will be working both salsa and bachata. Auditions Details: - The teams will learn 2 choreographies per season. - Each season lasts 6 months. - Choreographies and costumes will be determined by Fausto Felix himself. - Teams are to meet 2x a week for training and have to take a set amount of training classes per week. - Each team will be scheduled to perform in a minimum of 5 local shows and 2 major event per season. These events are not limited to competitions. - Winter spring season Is from Oct 20th - April 30th - First Showcase for this season will be on Dec 11th. Team captains: I will be looking for teams captain to help me manage the teams. Each team can have up to 2 team captains. Ideally a Lead and Follower. In return, team captains get compensated with: - Paid costumes - Paid passes at events - Paid team gear. Audition Dates: Oct 13th: 9pm - Training Team and Semi Pro starting with Bachata followed by salsa. Oct 14th: 9pm - Advance Team- starting with bachata followed by salsa. Must be able to execute both partner dancing and shines in both salsa and bachata at a competitive intermediate+ level or above. Rehearsal weekly schedule: Monday - 9pm Adv Bachata /Salsa Tuesday - 9pm Semi Bachata /Salsa Wednesday - 9pm Training Bachata /Salsa Thursday - 9pm Advance Bachata /Salsa Sunday - 1-3Pm /Training Bachata /Salsa Sunday - 3-5pm / Semi Bachata / Salsa
