La Marca. A tango dialogue

We still live in the era of romanticism. Many of our ideas of love are coming from romanticism. We got them by reading novels, listening to songs, watching films, etc. We are very shaped by the love narratives that we read. We honour certain feelings that we experience because other people are telling us to honour them. We suppress other feelings because people have told us not to pay them particular attention. What the romantics do is a remarkable fusion of love and sex. They basically consecrate sex as the summit of love and the ultimate expression of love. The image of a man and a woman dancing tango as "the only possibility" is also an expression of romanticism. We opened La Marca (leading a tango movement). A new possibility. Something that doesn't take the space of romantic tango, on the contrary, creates space for new possibilities. A new context, where tango dance is a dialogue between someone being a loving leader and someone being a loving follower. The learning we offer is complete. That means that you will learn tango from both perspectives. How to lead and how to follow. Our vision of teaching is based on freedom of expression and empowerment.
