The school who shows the spirit of Lindy will receive the Spirit Stick as a prize, and pass it off to the next winner at Intercollegiate Swing Battle 2019. Funky Chicken tag: Tag your friends by making eye contact and pecking at them. If you can get them to peck back, they've accepted the challenge! If you get tagged you have to dance your best "animal dance". Post it on Facebook with #cmdancefunkychickenchallenge, then peck at someone else until you have passed on "the funky chicken"! Dress Up Days/Daily Shenanigans: Friday- It is with some consideration that we have decided to change our Friday night dress up night to Blue jeans and a t-shirt night. Start off with a clean slate and wear your favorite color, but keep it simple! Dancers are encouraged to participate in the blue jeans and a t-shirt dress up night as a sign of inclusion to those of us who can't afford costumes and or fancy frocks, as well as a way to show that we are all there to dance no matter what we are wearing! Then prepare for Geeks who Drink Dance Trivia! Saturday- Honor your heroes by dressing up as them or creating your own super swing-hero persona! At the late night dance be prepared for some jam circles, Simon says swing, snowballs, and of course the Team battle! Whichever school catches the most vaudeville villains (hidden throughout the day at the venue) will save swing city! Sunday- Dress up from your favorite decade (20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, or dare I say...the 2000's!) Send us your decade dance battles with one another by posting to our page or on facebook with #cmdancedecadeschallenge 3 Student only competitions & 1 Team Battle Students must provide their Student ID card or verification of 2017-2018 school year enrollment. If you are only enrolled in 1 class or for 1 semester it still counts. Vocational school enrollment also counts.
