In two weeks, we’re celebrating by bringing up a special guest all the way from La Gran 🍎, the one and only @djmickeyperez. We played with Mickey in BK (and have had the pleasure of seeing him spin a few other times), and you do *not* want to miss this man. Some background: Chicago born & Miami raised, Mickey Pérez is a first generation American of Cuban & Ecuadorian descent who’s been putting down the funkiest rhythms to New York City dance floors since 2008. A Brooklyn resident since 2002, Mickey represents & presents a non-commercial, diasporic sound irrespective of borders that spans many different styles of dance music across Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Brasil & Black America. Mickey currently has a regular monthly show on The Lot Radio in NYC titled Bebop Porú which also runs simultaneously as a monthly to bi-monthly dance party in Brooklyn, Miami & Mexico City respectively. 💥💥💥💥 Was a beautiful Rumba last month, let’s keep the vibe going.
