LA Workshops: SambaFunk! Carnaval Explosion w King Theo

First time in LA. SambaFunk! Carnaval Explosion Drumming and Dance workshops. Celebrating the premiere of a new documentary "Funquaria Rising" about the group! **Samba Da Mudança is delighted to be working with this wonderful group on this and future projects!** Saturday Feb 8th - Full schedule of events - • 10-11AM: Drum Workshop 3773 Crenshaw Blvd, Lula Washington Dance Center, Randy Jackson Room Drums used - Surdo, Snare, Repinique, Bells, Djembe/Timbal. Please bring your own drums if you have them. We'll have some extras, but they'll go fast. • 11AM-12:30PM: Master Dance Workshop 3773 Crenshaw Blvd, Lula Washington Dance Center, Studio A $15 for either workshop ( Workshop drummers are invited to play in the dance class) • 2PM: Screening of Funquaria Rising, 4020 Marlton Ave, Rave Cinemas, Baldwin Hills Plaza • Performance at Pavilion after film screening (band, bateria, dancers) LONG BEACH ART WALK ( 6:30 ARRIVAL) 1ST & Linden - Long Beach Performers & Crew Head to Long Beach for the 2nd Saturday Art Walk. 7:30pm • Procession w/ the FunkTyme Playahs & Funkquarian dancers. 8:45pm Stage Performance by FUNKTERNAL & dancers (More info: www.artwalklb.com) http://www.sambafunk.com
