Labor Day Weekend - Annette Lake Hike & Swim

Hi friends!!! The sun is back this weekend (80°F ☀️). Come join us if you have no plans for Labor Day Weekend. Feel free to invite anyone. This is a community + friends event. I will share this invite with dancers from the Seattle Kiz and Zouk dance scene. We will be hiking up Annette Lake and hang around up there. Its about a 3 hour hike one way. And there is a beautiful lake at the top. A few of us are thinking of bringing a floatie to float up there. And maybe do some swimming. You're welcome to do anything, picnic, nap, daydream, its a beautiful place. The intention is to chill, connect and have fun. Its a distance away but the hike should be chill. Details of the trail: https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/annette-lake What you'll need: A Northwest Forest Pass per car https://www.wta.org/go-outside/passes#northwest-forest-pass-details Here's the plan: - 10:30am-10:45am -> Meet at the Annette Lake Trail Head - 10:45am - 11:00am -> Start hiking - 2:00pm - 2:30pm -> Reach the top around peak sunshine hour - 4:30pm - 5:00pm -> Start hiking down - 7:00pm - 8:00pm -> Reach the trail head Directions to Trailhead: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8HB96XZga88HNSZ29 From Seattle, drive east on I-90 to exit 47 (Asahel Curtis/Denny Creek). Turn right from the off-ramp and continue 0.25 mile, then turn left on Forest Road 5590. You'll find the parking area to your right in 0.3 mile. Toilets are located on the north side of the parking area. Things to consider bringing: - Day pass per car - Snacks/Food - Music for maybe dancing - Floatation devices - Sunscreen - Blanket for sitting on - Swim stuff for swimming P.S.
