Their dream was to create beauty and to share it with others. From their first day on the property, Russell and Don began the process of transforming the farm fields into the beautiful gardens that you see today (along with the help of many committed friends and volunteers!) Each tree and flower was planted...each boulder placed...each pond dug...a titanic effort spanning 50 years as a labor of love and a gift to share with the community. The old farmhouse was renovated with artifacts salvaged from dismantled, historic churches, retail shops and industrial sites throughout the coal region. The result is an extraordinary aesthetic creation inside and out. The summerhouse on the old farm has been one of the most recent structural renovations. Sitting at the center of the gardens with a series of french doors that open on both sides out to the gardens, the large winterized structure is the perfect place for events of all kinds and available to the public as a rental facility. The co-founder of Stonehedge, Russell Keich, passed away in October of 2018. We are working to fulfill his vision by applying permaculture principles to the future development of all aspects of Stonehedge; the gardens, the artisan’s gift shop, the pottery studio and through all of the workshops and events that we offer. 🍃💌🕊☘️🌻☘️🕊💌🍃 Celebrating local musicians, artists and crafts, with wellness activities to explore nature, permaculture, yoga, dance and unexpected moments of delight. Arrive between 3-5pm to park your RV or pitch your tent! Saturday evolves into a night of live music and DJ sets for free-form conscious Ecstatic Dance with DJ Shakti-Ma, with a performance of the SOUND SIRENS featuring the ethereal vocals of Joy Okoye (JourneyDance) and Serenity Entity (Ascenzion). The Sound Sirens highlight the Sound Journey portion of the Ecstatic Dance. Sunday morning rise and shine with breakfast and a MORNING Ecstatic Dance featuring DJ Kerry Bo Berry - who usually plays at Burning Man on this same Labor Day weekend - we are with good fortune to have Kerry Auret joining us in the mountains! Having grown up in South Africa and been majorly influenced by the house music scene, Kerry Bo Berry has a deep connection to music and dance and aims to capture the minds and hearts of her audience with heart warming & fun vibes. She got her start behind the decks in the dust, for Camp Charlie, at Burning Man 2013, was a resident DJ with the notorious Steampunk Saloon. Burning Man is still her favorite place to DJ, from the Opulent Temple White Party, for a crowd of naked burners and Alex Grey at the foam dome, or for a crew of rowdy cheerleaders aboard a giant (cock) car. She loves to play a saucy mix of Bass House, Indie Dance, nuDisco, Deep House. 🍃💌🕊☘️🌻☘️🕊💌🍃 What is ECSTATIC DANCE? A Family-Friendly ALL-ages Free-Form Conscious Dance - typically outdoors and barefoot - with musical rhythms and bass inspiring and propelling participants towards mindful presence, joy, catharsis and eventually deep meditation. Ecstatic Dance is substance free - no alcohol, no drugs, no substances permitted. Ecstatic Dance is FREE FORM - FREE STYLE - to FREE YOURSELF.
