Ladies Technique 4 Salsa 2 hr progressive workshops

7.30pm-9.30pm Monday night Ladies TECHNIQUE class at Bar Salsa in the cloakroom upstairs area. THIS IS NOT A COURSE.................................IMPROVERS-ADV LEVELS WELCOME & general level dancers from other disaplins used to the importance and detail of learning techniques . THIS CLASS IS AIMED AT LADIES WHO REALLY WISH TO IMPROVE THEIR LEVEL . If you've never tried it , Its not a course; so you can buy one 2 hour class and see if its something you feel will benefit your dancing. offering isolation, basic step, arms , turns and set shines for both On1 and On2 dancers 7.30pm - 9.30pm £15. Angelique Sinclaire has 2 associate degrees in dance ISTD in Modern Dance and IDTA in Freestyle Dance as well as her ETM YMCA. Angelique is a well known teacher and choreographer here in the UK, and in many parts of Europe. Encouraging her students to be the best they can be. Many of those she has taught have gone on to be teachers themselves. Don't let that scare you many in the class are improvers level too, and these ladies all work at their own pace You will need to be at least Improvers level to take the class, everyone works individually, and you are encouraged to do so allowing your body to become used to movement. this class is for high level improvers- Intermediate and advanced level students. Questions are encouraged . This class is like marmite your'll either fall in love, or you wont like it . if you dont like it, you may either not ready for it,; or not really looking to improve, at this time, as this class is a workout for body and brain. and you are expected to work alone on the tasks given to you, much like in a private lesson. This is possibily the next best thing to taking a private lesson; a small class, where corrections are given and dancers end to improve dramatically with in a year. So if you've been taking classes and don't feel like you are improving, or as a woman you feel you don't undertsand what your steps are , as partnerwork classes tend to be male dominated, when it comes to teaching and explanations; then this is the class for you. We cover isolation and control improving body movement and co ordination, basic step and improving step and hip ovement, basic arms and various ways to use yor arms , turns and spins and shines the way these are moved , details and options to make them look good on you. To an extent everyone works at their own pace , so you need to be able to practise what you have been told whilst the teacher checks on all students, don;t worry if you don't get it right she will come back around and help you again. If you need a teacher standing in front of you all the time, and will otherwise stop working you will not enjoy this class. you do need to be motivated to try; and you will recieve individual attention where needed. Most dancers stay a year in this class, mainly because Angelique tends to teach several techniques starting with the most basic , and sharing knowledge of options as you gain the movement and understanding,. the most important part of class is gaining co ordination of basic movement, in Salsa when we dance we look like our basic movements, to look better and mprove; co ordination of these will produce dramatic results. Why do so many become teachers? because great detail is given, This allows the dancers to become used to looking for details and picking up movements. It develops an eye for detail, and allows for the dancers to be able to explain what they are doing, with their own bodies, as such they begin to see the differences in movement and be able to explain themselves both what they are doing and how to improve what they are seeing.. In any dance we are all always learning. A year tends to give most dancers the best base possible for any further exploration and development. To all those who have taken this class, and have gone on to teach or explore this dance; thank you it is my passion and I will always love it, and love you for loving it along with me . Angelque.
