Lambada Basic Technique Intensive Weekend Zuza & Guido 16 17 March Vienna

𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆? - 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒅𝒂… …which is resurrecting in a modern form and conquering the whole world (including the Zouk world). Since the 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 is the same as in 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐚 𝐨𝐧 𝟏, it will also be easy to get into for those with Salsa experience or other similar dances, but 𝐧𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝. Lambada is the root of Brazilian Zouk, but should be seen as a different dance, although in a way they are the same. Sounds confusing? Wanna know more? Come and join us! 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖? :-) We, 𝐙𝐮𝐳𝐚 & 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐨 (both coming from Zouk) 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 with Lambada, trained a lot and came up with the idea and wish of 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐚. So we prepared 6 hrs of introduction / strengthening of the basic technique and intense training for you. But don't worry, you don't 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 to know anything about Lambada, yet, and you will enjoy it. We will go through the 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 in detail 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐧 instructive 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬. The basics are the core for all the crazy stuff later. We need to go step by step. It doesn't work to think that we know Zouk, so Lambada is easy. We also 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 there are many open questions after the last amazing really intense classes by Michal & Monika and 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲. In this sense this weekend will be 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞, whether you 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 or have 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 before, whether you are a 𝐙𝐨𝐮𝐤 or 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 or love 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬. Do you know the song of the band 𝐊𝐀𝐎𝐌𝐀 “𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐒𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐢 (𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐚)” from 1989? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyLdoQGBchQ If you watch the dance in the video, this is 𝐍𝐎𝐓 what we will teach, this is the 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 of Lambada, however the 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 and some 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 you see there 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭 (e.g. opening step). The dance has developed, for a long time it was called Lambazouk, now the trend is to use the original name Lambada for its modern form again. Apart from the energy, for me, Guido, one of 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 about Lambada is that it uses a 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 / 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 (which you need to learn and understand), where the 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 depending on the leading or 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 of the partner (leader). 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 even if the leader 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 or gives 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘁 actively with his 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 / 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 even 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 / without touching the follower (called 𝗪𝗶𝗙𝗶). It is always clear 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 to 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻, when to add a 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻, to 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 to turn, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 at all (in this moment). Also the possibility to 𝗺𝗶𝘅 𝗭𝗼𝘂𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 is super 𝗳𝘂𝗻. On my last (9th) dance study trip to Brazil I recorded the following video in the most famous Lambada & Zouk studio (“3D”) in Sao Paulo with the most wanted Lambada artists out there nowadays. Watching it live was even more energizing and mesmerizing, but also watching “only” the video 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗽 the beat.
