Lambada Bootcamp w Ashley & Kuna

Join us on Saturday, August 1 for a Lambada bootcamp so you can experience the techniques and musicality of this beautiful dance. Brazilian zouk came from lambada, and the two dances continue to influence each other a lot today. The energy and musicality of lambada is joyful and infectious. Understanding it will help build your awareness of timing, adaptability, and possibilities in your dancing, both for Brazilian zouk and lambada. SATURDAY, AUGUST 1 Lambada Bootcamp w/ Ashley & Kuna Glen Echo Park Spanish Ballroom Back Room 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm Bootcamp 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Practica Learn the most important foundations of lambada, including the timing, basic steps, and structures. We'll cover soltinho, chicote and boneca, with a focus on wifi connection, and practice how to use Brazilian zouk basics like bonus and viradinha within lambada. Your ticket for this bootcamp also includes our evening class and social at Glen Echo. There’s an open level zouk class from 8:00-9:00pm and after that there’s a social until 12:30am. PREREQUISITES Students should be familiar with the basics of Brazilian zouk. From District Zouk's curriculum, students should be at least at the Fundamentals level from Brazilian zouk and be comfortable with soltinho, bonus, and other basic steps.
