Lambada Drop-in Classes!

Bom Dia! 🎉 We are delighted to bring you weekly Lambada drop in classes, starting on the 5th October 2026! Lambada is a dance from the north of Brazil, historically known as the “forbidden” dance, that went through an international craze in the 80s and 90s. It has inspired the creation of Brazilian Zouk, and is now making a resurgence, with schools all across the world. 🗓️ Dates: October 5/12/19/26 November 2/16/23/30 ⏰Time: 2100 - 2200 class 2200 - 2230 guided practice 🗾Location: Upper hall, NCI Centre, CB4 3DL 🗒️Roadmap and Level The purpose is to try and get learners to a stage where they can comfortably start travelling to London and abroad to learn with the wider Lambada community. Ideally you have experience with some form of partner dancing. For those who have never undertaken a social / solo dance before, please DM billy.liu.91 and he can bring you up to speed. We will aim to go through three phases over the eight weeks: - Phase 1: Pathways (3 weeks) - how we organise movement in relation to our partner - Phase 2: Chicote (2 weeks) - How to perform the “hair whip” safely and effectively - Phase 3: Boneca (3 weeks) - Learn the classical boneca movement and how to implement it into your dance Following this eight weeks drop ins will follow this similar pattern of “mini blocks” targeting the wider lambada curriculum.
