Marcos de Lima is from Brazil, living in Poland for 14 years, and has a master’s degree in dance with specialization in ballet pedagogy (University of Music Fryderyk Chopin, Warsaw). He finished his professional education in the famous ballet school Bolshoi Theater of Moscow, and has been working as a professional dancer and teacher for 14 years. He has been working as the Ballet teacher for his company and teaching Brazilian dances in Poland for over 14 years, such as Samba, Lambada and Brazilian Zouk. Marcos has started his own business and for the last years he has been working also in creating and integrating social dance communities in Poland by conducting and organizing classes, workshops and performing in the largest Latin social dance events in Poland. Apart from Poland and Brazil, Marcos has also performed in the USA, France, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Ukraine, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Morocco, Israel, China, Russia, Norway, Serbia, and many other countries. His professional jobs include the State Folk Ensemble of Song and Dance "Mazowsze", Polish TV show “You can Dance”, the Musical Theater of Lodz city, and a role as Semi-Solist for the Grand Theater in Lodz, amongst others. He took part in many operas, classical and neo-classial ballets as well as modern dance, contemporary dance, dance theater and various varieties of jazz dance. Hellen is a passionate teacher for Brazilian Zouk & Lambada and a passionate social dancer of different styles. With more than 400 h teaching experience since 2018 of group classes, private classes and workshops in Brazilian Zouk/Lambada, she was also teaching at events and festivals in Belarus, Switzerland, and Valentines Dance Festival in Berlin. She started teaching regular classes at Motsi Mabuse Dance School in Frankfurt before moving to Berlin. Now she organizes workshops and events in Berlin (Brazilian Zouk Lambada United, and others). Her main influences and references are the school of Renata Pecanha (where she learnt), Ryel & Jessica, Movimento Lambazouk Sao Paulo, as well as MAC. Having traveled and studied in many Brazilian Zouk/Lambada communities worldwide, she loves to compare styles, methodologies, and ways of teaching. Both Marcos and Hellen are inspired by the teaching methodology of Ariel and Leticia (among others), and organize Lambada intensives / the Lambada mastery. Both are teachers of Lambada and Br. Zouk in their local communities, are working on growing the local Lambada communities, with a strong focus on digging deeper into concepts and musicality.
