LambaZouk Class @ OC Zouk Friday!

I'm back for more spreading of the LambaZouk love tonight! Just came back from an awesome tour teaching in NorCal and I have re-newed energia for LambaZouk! There are many dancers up north who are very passionate specifically for the LambaZouk style. What is LambaZouk? LambaZouk is a style of Brazilian Zouk dance characterized by many TURNS, head movements, HAIR WHIPS, moving and SPINNING like a RAG-DOLL, that is all lead by the PUPPET-MASTER of a leader. Together, the couple appears to be SWIMMING parallel with each other, throwing in turns and hair whips in between, lead and followed through physical connection or visual "WIFI" connection from a distance. The communication of follow and lead is strongly dependent on the musical RHYTHM throughout the dance. It is commonly known to be danced with a rhythm like, quick (1) quick (2) slooooow (3,4) quick (5) quick (6) slooooow (7,8) musical count in () but it can also be dance like, sloooooow (1,2) quick (3) quick (4) sloooooow (5,6) quick (7) quick (8) There are ways a lambazouk leader can intentionally CHANGE THE RHYTHM within a dance.
