Lara Deni comes to Blacksurg & Roanoke!

Valley West Coast Swing is thrilled to present Lara Deni, a certified WSDC Judge, and instructor who travels nationally as an adjudicator, instructor, and competitor. Reach out with questions, and be sure to register! **************************************************************** FRIDAY WORKSHOP: 🔥Intermediate Intensive🔥 Friday (12/6), 6:30-8:30pm @ Dance With Lane studio - 1711 N Main St. Blacksburg, VA 24060 $35 per person, *Registration required This workshop will have 90 mins of instruction (6:30-8) and 30 mins of guided practice (8-8:30). This class is for folks who have a solid foundation in the *fundamentals and feel comfortable with variations on these patterns. Please speak with Bonny or Lane to ensure this intensive is a good fit for you. ----------------------------------------------------------------- SATURDAY WORKSHOP 1: ⬆️ Level Up: Push Breaks⬆️ Saturday (12/7), 2-3pm @ Carillon Wellness Center, 4508 Starkey Road, Roanoke $20 per person ($30 for both 12/7 workshops), *Registration strongly encouraged This hour-long workshop is perfect for beginners working on their fundamentals and wanting to "Level Up." Also perfect are more experienced students who appreciate and understand the value of continually working on their *fundamentals, which is another way to "Level Up!" ----------------------------------------------------------------- SATURDAY WORKSHOP 2: ✨Intro to West Coast Swing✨ Saturday (12/7), 3-4pm @ Carillon Wellness Center, 4508 Starkey Road, Roanoke $20 per person ($30 for both Sat 12/7 workshops), *Registration strongly encouraged We love newcomers at Valley West Coast Swing, and this hour-long workshop is the perfect place to start your journey with this popular dance! And what better way than with one of the best of the best, Lara Deni? We highly encourage those attending the "Leveling Up" Workshop to stick around, deepen their understanding of this dance, and support all the newbies that come out! ----------------------------------------------------------------- SATURDAY DANCE: 💃Social Dance🕺- Saturday (12/7), 4-5:30pm @ Carillon Wellness Center, 4508 Starkey Road, Roanoke Free to anyone who attends the Saturday workshops, or $10 per person; *Registration is appreciated but not necessary This social dance is for anyone and everyone! There is no lesson, so if you are brand-spankin' new, be sure to attend the introduction class from 3 to 4 p.m. However, you do not have to attend the workshops to join us for fun, dancing, and being part of the community. ----------------------------------------------------------------- *FUNDAMENTALS: We consider the fundamental patterns to be push breaks, passes, whips, tucks, starter steps, and throw-outs. *Registration: You can register by sending us a DM or emailing Lane at [email protected] or Bonny at [email protected]. Registration gives us your information and your intention to join the class. It is extremely helpful to us as we plan and prepare for the event, so throw us a bone and give us a shout!
