Last chance to join Perth's Daniel & Desiree WTP Bachata Team

This is your last chance to join Perth's most exciting choreography in years. Perth's Daniel and Desiree's World Team Project Choreography Team has been hard at work for 4 weeks now, and this will be your last chance to join, or for the existing member, to practice your first four blocks of 32 counts of the choreography. 9:00 - 9:15 Information session and Warm Up 9:15 - 9:55 Block 1 10:00 - 10:40 Block 2 10:45 - 11:25 Block 3 11:30 - 12:10 Block 4 12:15 - 1:00 Full run through and connection points This performance is being created for the Bailando Sensual Festival held on the 23rd to 25th of February in Sydney. However, the team will have a other opportunities to perform at World class festivals in Australia and overseas. ********************* Details: Perth has been invited to create a performance team to perform a world class choreography. As a part of the World Team Project, Perth will be performing a choreography by one of the biggest names in Bachata Sensual. Daniel & Desire are one of the most famous couples, and we will have opportunity to recreate one of their own personal performances. This is a performance for the whole Perth Bachata community to be a part of, and to experience. Team leaders from different dance institutions around Perth and WA are being selected to encourage their students, both past and present, to be a part of their own crew within the Perth team. They may even organise additional trainings for their team members. The team is then invited to perform at the Bailando Sensual Festival in Sydney, February 23-25, in front of Daniel & Desire, who will also be teaching workshops there. The best Australian instructors of Bachata, Kizomba, Salsa and other Latin Dance styles, including the current world Bachata Champions, Mitch and Elicia, and the ever cheeky Tony Lara, will will also be teaching workshops at the festival. All dancers who wish to be a part of the performance team are welcome to come learn about the choreography and join the team training. You will be shown the choreography as done by Daniel & Desire, and given the schedule for the rehearsals. The team is being built to perform at the Bailando Sensual Festival, however, those unable to make that festival, or who wish to go to some other festivals, there will be numerous other opportunities to perform this choreography as part of the team, in Australia as well as overseas. There will be two teams. Team Alpha - Open to everyone, will typically consist of beginners, and social dancers with less than 1 year of FORMAL bachata training. This is to reduce the risk of injury in lifts and complex maneuveres. Team Alpha may have sections in which they are paused, or complete less difficult moves. Team Bravo - Invitation only. Higher level moves and much more dificult to execute, especially in synchronicity. Still expected to make to all whole team trainings.
