This will be an opportunity to connect and ground into ourselves individually, as partners in dance, and also as a community. If you want to be here but are needing help financially please msg Sun *** CONTACT: DM Sun Park or email [email protected] 📍LOCATION 2A Durham Ave Toronto, ON M6C 1N8 ARTIST BIO: SUN - the Phoenix is an artist-educator and healer with a calling to invoke and empower authentic expressions of self, rooted in awareness, presence, vulnerability, and surrender. Since 2005 she has been a teacher in multidisciplinary arts developing the Purpose Rooted Arts Education pedagogy; and is currently an apprentice training under Evelyn Magyari Lopez in Zouk. Sun is also completing her graduate-level training in psychotherapy, bioenergetic therapy and energy healing. The focus of her thesis (in-progress) will be centered on the role that Zouk can play in psychotherapy from a bioenergetic perspective. She believes that at the intersection of the arts, education, and healing (such as can be found in Brazilian Zouk) one can experience conscious transcendence and liberation – and at the very least gain deeper insights about oneself and one’s own nature. Workshops are rooted in Zouk principles as taught by Evelyn Magyari Lopez, and class format inspired by the ‘Exhale’ series in Atlanta with Atoro.
