GENERAL RULES 1.1. The competition is held in a Jack & Jill format, with randomly assigned partners. 1.2. Registration is individual, based on roles: Leader and Follower. 1.3. The competition level is Open, with no experience categories. 1.4. The competition consists of two stages: Qualifications Final ⸻ 2. JUDGING PRINCIPLES 2.1. Evaluation is conducted individually, not as a couple. 2.2. The partner is considered a variable element and is not a judging criterion. ⸻ 3. QUALIFICATIONS 3.1. Format 3.1.1. Qualifications consist of 4 musical tracks. 3.1.2. Each track has a duration of 1 minute and 20 seconds. 3.1.3. Partner rotation occurs every 40 seconds. 3.1.4. Each participant dances with: 2 partners per track 8 different partners in total ⸻ 3.2. Judging System 3.2.1. Each judge assigns, for each competitor, a vote of: PASS NO PASS ⸻ 3.3. Evaluation Criteria Each competitor is evaluated based on the following criteria: Timing – 25% Musicality – 25% Lead/Follow – 25% Technique – 25% ⸻ 3.4. Qualification Rounds Structure 3.4.1. Depending on the total number of registered competitors, the organizers will determine the number of qualification rounds required before the final. 3.4.2. Based on the number of competitors and the number of qualification rounds, the organizers will determine how many competitors advance from each round. 3.4.3. The number of qualification rounds and the number of competitors advancing from each round will be officially announced before the start of the competition, after the registration process is completed. 3.4.4. Advancement to the next rounds is based on the number of votes received, with competitors receiving the highest number of votes progressing further. ⸻ 3.5. Qualification to the Final 3.5.1. The number of finalists is determined based on the total number of participants. 3.5.2. An equal number of Leaders and Followers will qualify. 3.5.3. The minimum number of finalists is at least 5 Leaders and 5 Followers. ⸻ 4. FINAL 4.1. Format 4.1.1. The number of musical tracks is equal to the number of competitors in the final. 4.1.2. Each track has a duration of 1 minute. 4.1.3. For each track, participants dance with different partners. ⸻ 4.2. Judging System 4.2.1. Each judge establishes a complete individual ranking for all finalists. ⸻ 4.3. Results Calculation 4.3.1. Each placement corresponds to a point value: 1st place – 1 point 2nd place – 2 points etc. 4.3.2. The final ranking is determined by summing the points assigned by all judges. 4.3.3. The winner is the competitor with the lowest total score. ⸻ 5. CODE OF CONDUCT AND STYLE 5.1. The competition promotes authentic social dancing and the ability to adapt to different partners. 5.2. The following are considered inconsistent with the spirit of the competition: pre-set choreography mechanical repetition of combinations lack of connection with the partner behavior that affects the balance or comfort of the partner ⸻ 6. FINAL RULES 6.1. Judges’ decisions are final. 6.2. The organizer reserves the right to adapt the format based on logistical conditions, while preserving the core principles of the competition.
