LATIN NIGHTS at Continuum-LATIN DANCE CONTEST!

The HOTTEST spot for Latin dancing in Western North Carolina! WEAR RED, WHITE & BLUE ��� Throw on your MOST CREATIVE PATRIOTIC outfit and come check out the BEST LATIN DANCE spot in Hendersonville at Continuum Art for a fun night of primarily salsa & bachata with some merengue, cumbia, and cha-cha. A free lesson will be offered in the back room, followed by social dancing on the huge, beautiful wood floors in the main room with an incredible DJ on the stage. Large event space with plenty of room for social distancing and ceiling and floor fans circulating throughout the night for great airflow as the vintage garage doors and windows stay open during warmer temperatures. Have you always wanted to learn CHA CHA or fine-tune it? Then, join us for our JULY event featuring SARAH G. BARTON from GVL GOZADERA as our guest instructor! Finally, as our community continues to grow in number and in skill, we wanted to create a fun way to give back and show our appreciation. We introduced this last year and after many requests to bring this back, the LATIN DANCE CONTEST will return for our July event!! Custom trophies by PLANTERRIUM of Hendersonville will be awarded to the top 3 couples! ALL participants will receive ONE (1) FREE PASS to Urban Orchard by BACHATA AVL! 1st Place: TBA 2nd Place: TBA 3rd Place: TBA There will be 3 rounds to determine the winners. Each round, couples will dance to 1 salsa song and 1 bachata song. After the 1st round, judges will select 7 couples to advance. After the 2nd round, 3 couples will move on to Finals. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place couples will be awarded in the Final Round! (This event will begin immediately after Swing night.) 9:15-10:00pm CHA CHA Lesson by SARAH & RANDI OF GVL GOZADERA (back room) 10:00pm-2:00am Social Dancing with DJ MAPACHE 11:30pm-LATIN DANCE CONTEST $15 (cash, card, Venmo, PayPal accepted) on the day of the event $30 for both events (swing and Latin)-no discounts No partner or rhythm is needed and dress is casual! Bring your own beer/wine. Liquor and other beverages above 16% alcohol content are strictly prohibited. ALL BEVERAGES MUST BE BROUGHT INTO THE VENUE IN A COOLER OR CONCEALED AND FOR CONSUMPTION, BEVERAGES MUST BE POURED INTO PLASTIC CUPS. NOTE CHANGE IN POLICY: $10 for every 12 beers or 1 bottle of wine. Masks are encouraged but, not required. Cash, cards, Venmo, PayPal, and Cash app are accepted.
