Inspired by the Mexican tradition El Día del Amor y la Amistad (The Day of Love and Friendship) we celebrate love in all its shades with a San Valentín night of dancing, music and mucho more. Join us from 6pm as Eric Turro Martinez – Cuba's King of Dance opens up the dancefloor with participatory dance moves for all, before DJ Saca La Mois a.k.a Moses Iten (Cumbia Cosmonauts) serves up his signature mix of tropical beats ranging from cumbia, to salsa, guarachas, cuban son and more throughout the night. Sit back and enjoy a Latin infused cocktail while local legends Mariachi Los Romanticos serenade the crowd with a selection of México's finest mariachi love song dedications. For those keen to make it a night to remember get in early and book a personalised song request for your special someone. As the night heats up dancer Karen Bravo will take you on a cultural trip through Afro-Colombian rhythms, movements and afro beats. In honour of the Latinx Day of Love and Friendship, Yo Soy collective present a special space to celebrate the importance of friendships and family, new and old. Drop by and meet new friends with speed friending sessions, create personalised compliment cards designed by local Latinx artists and participate in a fabulous polaroid photobooth. Keep your taste buds singing all night long with a wide range of street food delights and drinks from the region. Workshops: For extra spice, woo your partner with an intimate Valentines experience and book into one or both of our specialty workshops. Get your hearts racing and your hips swinging with sultry dance classes from Melbourne Salsa and a cocktail on arrival in our iconic Long Room. Or put your senses to the test with a guided tasting tour of four bespoke Mezcales and Tequilas with the expert team from Agaveria paired with artisan chocolates hand selected for the occasion by the crew at Xocolatl.
