Launch Event for Ecstatic Dance Whistler

We welcome you to Ecstatic Dance Whistler's launch event, Ecstatic Dance is the freedom to express and connect with yourself through dance and movement without judgement, alcohol, drugs, phones or speech. The schedule is as follows: 18:00 Doors open, warm up, stretch and introduction 18:30 Opening circle: connect with yourself, others and space 19:00 Ecstatic Dance w/ DJ Chester Fierce 20:30 Finish with reflection 21:00 Space is Closed (til next time) Ecstatic Dance is a free flowing way of dance and movement. It focuses the mind to reflect on your day and how you fell inside. It is a meditation though breath and how the music effects you. Ecstatic Dance is a safe space where we connect, embrace and encourage each other. You can relax and be yourself. Show who you really are without fear of judgement. This Ecstatic Dance takes place over 1.5 hours comprised of a live DJ set. The music takes you on a journey through different genres and rhythm, bringing you up to a peak and gently landing you back down to earth. DJ Chester Fierce is from England and has journeyed with Ecstatic Dance International through their Leadership Training (in Guatemala) and DJ Training (in Portugal) along with collaborating in Amsterdam. He loves DJ'ing with high energy, fun, upbeat and various styles of music. The event is being held downstairs in the multifunctional room. There is limited capacity of 20+ people so it will be first come, first served, on entry. Please come wearing comfortable clothes for dancing. Water will be available. Dancing will be barefoot or with socks (if necessary). Feel free to come alone and connect with us or bring a friend along too.
