A música Blues e a dança estiveram estreitamente ligadas desde a sua origem, mas recentemente tem havido um revivalismo da dança Blues nos EUA e na Europa, tendo esta absorvido influências de outras danças, como por exemplo o Tango. A comunidade de dança Blues a nível mundial está a incorporar novas formas de expressão mantendo no entanto bem presente a herança dos Blues. Contribution: 2€ The Blues has its roots in the African American communities of the South of the United States in the early 20th century and has influenced many other music genres, such as jazz, soul and rock. While Blues music and dancing have been deeply connected since early on, in recent years there has been a revival of Blues dancing in the US and in Europe, which has absorbed many new influences from other dances such as Tango. The Blues dancing community over the world is incorporating new ways of expression while keeping alive the Blues heritage.
