Thursday Feb 29th for a night of offerings; Ecstatic Dance featuring Dj SIDNEY GREY! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ • A yoga class taught by Roxie, open to all experience levels, will be offered an hour before the dance begins. •Russ Jones will offer closing flute songs. •Orian will provide us a nourishing meal. •Dalton will provide Humble Heart Cacao •There are a few local vendors as well. Thursday Night Ecstatic Dance Schedule: 6pm Yoga 7pm Opening Circle - We encourage new comers to attend opening circle 7:15pm Ecstatic Dance 9:15pm Closing Songs 9-10pm Food Available (additional cost) 11pm Doors close 🙏🏼 MORE ABOUT THE DJ 🎶 Sidney Grey is a veteran DJ with 25 years’ experience who has curated a deep vault of music which is modern yet evokes deep rooted nostalgia. In his DJ tenure he has played a wide range of styles which include house, techno, breakbeats, drum n’ bass and dub. Sidney Grey’s musical inspiration is deeper than “EDM”. As a youth he was a band geek with a punk rock soul. He found a love for all things electronica initially through the SLC industrial scene of the mid-90’s. Drawing from the pulsating rhythms that he danced to for years, Sidney Grey started his DJ career as DJ Spazmolytic. With years of experience in the SLC valley at clubs, raves, and desert parties, he was known as a DJ to bring heavy, hi-energy beats to the dance floor. Through age and experience, and the evolution to Sidney Grey, he pulls in from all these past musical skills to bring a diverse and cohesive dance adventure. Sidney Grey will take listeners on a journey guaranteed to embrace multiple facets of their soul. 💃🏼 What is Ecstatic Dance? 🕺🏻 Ecstatic Dance is a freeform dance practice that happens all over the world in small and big spaces. It is typically 2 hours long and has a DJ who is mixing music together. Most people come for the full “journey” and go through the whole experience together. Opening circle to closing circle. However you are welcome to come and go as you please. A place where people go to connect deeper with themselves and their community 🙌🏼 Ecstatic Dance Guidelines 🙌🏼 * BE PRESENT (no phones or cameras) * EMBODIMENT (no talking or verbal communication) * CLEAR MIND (no intoxicants) * BE CONSENSUAL (make eye contact and CONFIRM a “YES”, respect others space, hands at heart or looking away means “NO” * GROUNDING (no outside shoes) * SCENT FREE (no burning or strong perfumes/smells) * BE FREE.
