Leap Year Milonga (Tango Party!)

Our Leap Year Extra Night this year falls on a SATURDAY - so it's a great excuse for Argentine Tango Dancers and those who are interested in learning this intense and stylish Partner Dance (but may have never quite got up the courage!) to get together for a Bonus MILONGA (Tango Party)... It's at the gorgeous and atmospheric Chapel at the YMCA - the Island's premier Dance Venue - and will feature Mandy's famous mix of Traditional (Golden Age) and contemporary/alternative Tango music - so a variety of styles to dance to but EVERYTHING fanstastic for Tango! :) Island and Mainland Dancers from all styles and clubs are of course very welcome to attend and beginners can grab a table to just watch and enjoy the hospitality, or join in if they're brave enough (forget the choreographed, theatrical style of Tango you've seen on 'Strictly' or been presented with elsewhere - learning and dancing *real* Argentine Tango with experienced teachers that specialise in teaching it as a *social* dance style is NOT as difficult as you might think!). Worried that you don't get enough dances when you go to Tango events? Instead of a lesson/workshop, there'll be a special presentation at the beginning with professional International Tango Dancers/Teachers explaining 'Milonga Etiquette' and presenting their own tips and suggestions on how to enjoy more dances at both formal events and informal/alternative Milongas like this one... So come along early and don't miss out!! We'll also be putting the new kitchen to good use by serving you some hot food and a welcome glass of Malbec to put you in the mood for more dancing - but if you want to bring your own drinks or extra dishes to the party too, please do! The Leap Year Milonga (Tango Party) is £12.50, including Hot Food, Cheese & Biscuits, Complimentary Glass of Malbec and a donation to the Chapel Restoration Fund... There's no need to book in advance - you can just drop in on the night (but please do let us know in advance if you can so that we have an idea of total numbers for catering).
