Learn the Swing Out beginner-friendly

It's time! Learn how to swing out in 4 lessons. This series is beginner-friendly! It starts on April 2 and ends on April 23. We recommend attending the entire 4-lesson series because concepts and moves will build on each other throughout each lesson. ... WHAT TO BRING: - Comfy shoes/sneakers to change into for the class. We ask that you don't wear your outdoor shoes onto the dance floor. Leave the winter snow/mud/salt in the entryway! - A water bottle. - An open mind to learn and express yourself through music and movement. - Respect and kindness for other dancers. ... THURSDAY SCHEDULE: Beginner Lesson | 7:00 - 7:45 p.m. Social Dance & Practice (all levels) | 7:45 - 8:15 p.m. Level 2 Lesson | 8:15 - 9:15 p.m. ... VENUE: For one week ONLY (April 2), we will meet at Public Space One (PS1 Close) at 538 S Gilbert St. Iowa City. This lesson will start at 7:15 p.m., giving us a little extra time to find street parking at a new venue. The following classes (April 9, 16, and 23) will be at our regular venue at the Masonic Lodge at 312 E College St. Iowa City. ... COST: $10 per evening or $5 for students.
