This event is part of a series.

About this Event

THIS MONTH! Join us for two Saturday mornings (June 27th and July 4th) to learn the Tranky Doo! The Tranky Doo is the second the "big three" solo jazz routines (Shim Sham, Tranky Doo, and the Big Apple). And we're planning to help you learn all three before Boogie Down South this September. In these two x 2-hr workshops, Lindsey will take you through the full Tranky Doo routine. Originating in the 1940s and Choreographed by Frankie Manning, the Tranky Doo is most commonly danced to "The Dipsy Doodle". Around the world whenever this song comes on swing dancers πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί will flock to the dance floor to dance the routine - ahem *Boogie Down South* hint hint wink wink. Dates: Saturdays June 24th and July 4th Times: 10am - 12pm Where: TBA Cost: $15 Please RSVP so we can book an appropriate sized space for all the workshop goodness Tickets: https://www.southwestswing.com.au/tranky-doo-workshops What does the Tranky Doo look like?
