Let NOW Finds Us 2-day workshop with Nica Portavia & Paweł Let’s meet and see what is open. This workshop is an invitation to practice the present moment — not as an idea, but as a living territory. We will enter the mystery of the Now: the place where attention becomes physical, where the unnamed can be sensed, and where the dance reveals what we could not plan. Through Contact Improvisation and somatic improvisation, we will train our capacity to meet what is here: the body as it is, the breath as it is, the relation as it is. Not searching for definitions, but opening spaces. Not trying to “make something happen,” but learning how to be available for what is already happening. Roundness, desire, imagination, physicality and poetry will be pathways into the unknown. We will explore how sensation becomes movement, how movement becomes meaning, and how the present moment can teach us — again and again — how to stay alive. Rather than aiming for a specific emotional state, we will practice realness: grounded presence, clear perception, and the courage to be touched by what we find. We will explore the subtle ground beneath experience — the support that allows changing states, listening, tuning, and interconnection. From there, meeting becomes possible: with ourselves, with others, with the room, with life. This is a workshop for dancers and movers who want to deepen presence, widen perception, and let improvisation be a practice of attention — where the Now is not something we create, but something that finds us. Open to all levels. Curiosity, willingness, and care are welcome.
