ARE YOU READY TO LEVEL UP WITH OUR FREESTYLE DANCE COMPETITION? CALLING DANCERS: We are searching for dancers who want to challenge themselves for a "BACHATA STARS" type competition! Do it with a dance friend or your dance partner! THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM JACK AND JILL! THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW: 1. Dance with your selected dance partner. *Must have full passes 2. No surprises with getting someone who you might not dance well with, so you can dance your absolute best and focus on connection and hitting that musicality! 3. Everything dance related accepted. Including lifts and tricks. 6. Reggaetón and twerking on the floor is not allowed, we want bachata!! Reggaetón is for the after party :) HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS: 3 ROUNDS 1. BACHATA RUMBLE - Groups of up to 10 couples at a time - You will dance 3 different songs (1.30mins) - After each song the circle will rotate so that the judges have a different view - 1st - 6th ranking couples go directly to battles - Couples 7th - 10th (4 couples) will do a battle for 7th and 8th place for the Semi Finals - ROUND ONE OCCURS SUNDAY 2-3PM 2. ROUND TWO - The couples that qualified will be ramdomly paired with another couple for the battles - You will dance 1 full song taking 40 seconds turns (2 turns each couple) and finishing the song with both couples at the same time - The judges will decide which couple from each battle make it to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, another battle will take place to decide who will fight for the title in the final round: THE FINALS - ROUND TWO WILL OCCUR SUNDAY NIGHT 3. FINALS - A battle will occur for 3rd & 4th place of the previous round two to see who wins the offical 3rd place. - The top 2 winners from Semi-Finals will do both: 1 spotlight each and one final battle. - Spotlight will be one full song, one couple at a time. - Judges will decide the winners - FINALS WILL OCCUR SUNDAY NIGHT When: SUNDAY AFTERNOON/NIGHT 2-3pm & 11pm Approx Where: LEVEL UP BACHATA FESTIVAL - BTP Conference Centre Cost: $25pp to ENTER + must have a full pass.
