About this Event

12th December 2009 ::: Día de las Velitas ::: (mejor tarde que nunca!) This is one of the most observed traditional holidays of Colombia. It is celebrated on December 7, on the eve of the Immaculate Conception, which is a public holiday in Colombia. This day is the unofficial start of the Christmas season in the country. On this day, people place candles and paper lanterns on their windows, balconies, porches, sidewalks, streets, parks and squares, in short, everywhere they can be seen, in honour of the Virgin Mary and her immaculate conception. Exilio will do it on the 12th December, better late than never. Let’s get together to share good memories for every light that is put on . Bring a candle and pay a fiver, otherwise £8. Music by Dj G, mixing the best of SALSA : MERENGUE : CUMBIA : DECEMBRINA : BACHATA : LATIN HOUSE : POP : Y mucho mas.. www.exilio.co.uk 07956983230
