Lila Familia ~ Dancing with the Darkness

Come out for our monthly Saturday night extended ecstatic dance on November 16th and stay a bit later than usual as we've rented the space a few hours longer than normal to allow for some tip-top musical offerings from the darkwalkers collective to keep our feet moving and our hearts wide. Things may be getting a bit dreary as we move into November time, with the light fading earlier and earlier, and the clocks rolling back ~ but our spirit is strong ~ and our heart fire burns on ~ let's dance through all aspects of this life Aleks will open things up at 8pm and lead us through an hour of stretching and guided movement meditation while folks arrive and settle in. Just before 9pm we'll be led into a restful posture from which point we'll open up into our dance. We'll have a good solid 2hr dance journey finishing up around 11pm with a brief group meditation and sound bath led by Jaime and Katie. At this point we'll open the space up for socializing and snacks. Music will still be played after this, so please stick around, and mingling and movement can merge into many more moments of merriment. The bulk of our journey will be free-form dance expression and moving meditation, guided by rich and soulful, tastefully bass-augmented music from around the world, moving gently from quiet beginnings through a raucous and ecstatic culmination, and back to stillness. Guaranteed to gather all the goodness. We've put the utmost care into selecting the best tracks to be played on the most robust sound system. This tea space invites us to ground and settle into ourselves with presence as we share the simplicity of hot leaf water. Inspired by the practice of Gong Fu, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony practiced by Buddhist monks for centuries. The tea is prepared with a ritualistic mindfulness, to help express the humble personality of each type of leaf. The tea holds space in a way where one can show up for oneself by showing up for a simple cup of tea, while sitting in unison. :: Food Offerings :: Estara is bringing her alchemical cacao & supernutrient creations once again ~ this time you'll find her creations at the market area by the door. Her flair is in synergizing star & earth energies through channeling essences of the inbetween into her unique and nutritive creations. Utilizing a range of organic superfoods, botanicals and extracts, the invitation is of activating & awakening an ecosystem of vibrant health; expanding & enhancing the senses to come fully Present.
