Lila Familia ~ More Metta

Following up last month's Metamorphosis at Lindy Hop Revolution we'll be stretching out our new wings for another extended Saturday evening of free-form ecstatic dance and revelatory revival. The invitation for the evening is to co-create a vibrant and healthy dance space for us to take flight into the night. We'll open things up at 7:30pm and have an hour or stretching and guided movement meditation while folks arrive and settle in. Around 8:30pm we'll sit in circle briefly and set our intentions, taking a few breaths together and commencing our journey with a guided meditation. We'll have a good solid 2hr dance journey, after which point we'll open the space up for socializing and snacks around 10:30pm. Music will still be played after this point and mingling and movement can merge into many more moments of merriment. The bulk of our journey will be free-form dance expression and moving meditation, guided by rich and soulful, tastefully bass-augmented music from around the world, moving gently from quiet beginnings through a raucous and ecstatic culmination, and back to quietness.Guaranteed to gather all the goodness. We've put the utmost care into selecting the best tracks to be played on the most robust sound system. This is a humble offering from our hearts and we'd like to keep it as affordable as possible. We're asking $15 to $20 sliding scale.
