Lila Familia ~ The Last Golden Rays

Come join us on the weekend of November 9th for another round of nature immersion, ecstatic dance, and some poignant late-night pizzazz, with a special DJ line-up to carry us into the morning hour ~ John Fransisco is going to be celebrating his birthday with us and has plans to deliver a top-tier sound selection of groovy tech-trance ~ as well we've got special guest Purrpelle landing at the roost to lay down some deep and dirty tech-house ~ resident DJs Dew Drop and Freehand will round it out with their proverbial time-honoured classics ~ The venue is the same as last time, about an hour an a half north of Toronto, on the way towards Collingwood, just off Airport Rd, just south of Creemore ~ 🍂 Schedule 🍂 Saturday 12pm ~ Arrival, settling in, nature time, sauna & hot tub by the river 4pm ~ Permaculture garden tour and nature walk 6pm ~ Potluck by the fire at the outdoor kitchen 8:30pm ~ Ecstatic dance begins 10:30pm ~ Meditation and re-alignment 11pm till 12:30am ~ Purrpelle 12:30am till 2am ~ Transisco 2am till 3:30am ~ Freehand Sunday 10am ~ Yoga & sound bath 3pm ~ Song circle Evening ~ Fireside jam, sauna & hot tub 🍂 The Flow 🍂 Come for early afternoon on Saturday if you'd like to spend some time in nature ~ bring some food to share in the early evening if you think you'll be hungry, potluck style ~ we'll make some food at the outdoor kitchen space in the early evening around 6pm or so ~ We'll move inside around 8pm and have some gentle music playing ~ at that time we'll stretch out, relax and prep for the dance ~ we'll drop into silence by 8:30pm and make our movements meditative ~ around 9pm we'll launch into our dance journey, which will be about 2hrs long ~ likely finishing up that portion by 11pm or so ~ We'll finish our ecstatic dance journey with a closing circle and open up the space for more relaxed hanging out, and some epic tunes from a fantastic line up of DJs Musical offerings from our favourite friends of the familia ~ Purrpelle, Transisco, Freehand ~ rolling from deep dubstep, to midtempo folkoric electronic, right through uplifted tech-house ~ we'll likely curtail the festivities around 5am and take rest at that time ~ if you'd like to rest earlier, you can find camping spots further from the house for some more quiet repose 🍂 Accommodation 🍂 If you do want to stay overnight you can bring a tent or stay around in the loft space where the music is ~ there's lots of cushions and mats, sorta collective crash pad style ~ and again, there will be music playing fairly loud for a good portion of the night ~ if you feel like an adventure into the night, please stick around for follow up late night dances and whatever other adventures ~ 🍂 Contribution 🍂 We'll accept e-transfer in advance to the email below or cash at the door to save some fees, or you can buy a ticket online from Eventbrite ~ the cost is $50 per person for the Saturday and $100 for Saturday & Sunday ~ if you just want to come for the ecstatic dance portion and you're finding that too much to pay, then just write us a message and we'll figure something out ~ Food is potluck style ~ if you come just for Saturday and plan to be there for dinner, please bring a prepared meal to share ~ if you're planning to stay for the entire weekend then we ask that you bring about $50 of food to share, and help with meal prep at some point ~ Here's a link where you can purchase tickets: e-transfer : [email protected] https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/lila-familia-the-last-golden-rays-tickets-1048769346347 🍂 Music 🍂 The bulk of our journey will be free-form dance expression and moving meditation, guided by rich and soulful, tastefully bass-augmented music from around the world, moving gently from quiet beginnings through a raucous and ecstatic culmination, and back to stillness.
