Lila Familia ~ Tuesday Eclectic Selected Tribal Electric Dance

Bringing the most robust sounds to shake it up and get down ~ Tuesday's tribal trap and two-step rattle tap features eclectically selected music from around the world to take you on a free-style dance journey, encouraging you to shake yourself silly and express your inner-most yearning ~ This is a free-form dance, and of course to hold that space to allow for such freedom we have a certain framework ~ arriving at a similar time allows us to all settle in and embark on the journey together, starting out softly and building towards a raucous peak, and finally back again to stillness ~ we gather from 7:30 till 8pm ~ have a short introduction around 8pm, and then lift off together ~ dancing till 9:45 and then leaving around 11pm ~ Also, we take our shoes off and dance barefoot, and we abstain from idle chit-chat while in the main space ~ even while enthralled in ecstasy we carry ourselves in a conscientious manner and if we feel inspired to connect with another on the dance-floor we do so with care and courtesy The cost is $15, but we're happy to give a discount to those that are willing to come on a regular basis, like having a 10 class pass for $100 or something like that Our aim is to have these Tuesday ecstatic dances every Tuesday at this space on Geary Ave, though it's a bit tough to get going here in the summer. We were having them every second Tuesday and an extended Saturday night ecstatic dance, but I think we'll take another Tuesday off on the 6th of August, just cause it's so close to the Saturday night one on the 10th. In conclusion: next dance Tuesday the 23rd of July, Saturday August 10th at Lindy Hop, and Tuesday August 20th at Geary Ave again. The event location is at 165 Geary Ave. just near Dupont and Dufferin.
